No seriously! OH MY FREAKING WORD!! Look what arrived in the mail!! FOR REAL!!
You may remember my post earlier this month about a divine book I have been coveting, but when I went to search for it on Amazon and other book sellers, it was insanely priced. And alas, I did not buy it. The book is "The Baltimore Album Tradition" by Nancy Davis.
However, somehow, through the mysteries of mail, a copy of this amazing book has appeared on my doorstep! I am still in awe, and flip through it - as gently as possible - to adore the quilts from more than a century ago.
Such wonderful inspiration! And where did this lovely surprise come from you ask? Well, I'll tell you, and then you all have to sing her praises - my Mom. I know people say it doesn't count when your Mom reads or comments on your blog, but from now on in my books, it so does!
Thank you, thank you, thank you Mom! I am still so excited to even see it on the coffee table! I can't believe how crazy it is to even think about it, and yet here it is!!
