I realized today that it has been days upon days since I actually wrote something here... Sorry, my bad! It's been a tiring 9 days and I can't even give you a list of things that consumed me so much I couldn't post anything! OY! I have a feeling it is partially related to the weather... 2 days of sun and +14°C, then 2 days of cloud, dreariness, and yuck, then 2 days of sun, and somehow we ended up with a snowstorm last night and 20cm (about 8") to greet us in the morning!
One day it really will be spring, right? Today I made a long trip into the city to see a naturopathic doctor to try and fix some of the many issues I had to list prior to the appointment. Unfortunately, alternative health care is not covered in Canada unless you have a super-fabu-insurance plan that offers it as part of their package. Thus, I had to fork out the big bucks (well, big for us) for the appointment. It surely makes me realize how fortunate we are in Canada to have regular health care provided for us through the government!

In the meantime, between regular household stuff, errands, mommy business, appointments, and wacky weather, I have fallen in love with Maison Sajou. Do you know of this French notions and stitchery company? They are very expensive, but most of the items are either handmade, or are made in a "one-of-a-kind-old-fashioned-method".
They have divine scissors, darling accessories, and to-die-for kits, boxes, and supplies. They have the most amazing thread cards for stitching threads (such as DMC, Weeks Dye Works, etc) that are made of thick card and come in themed sets. Gorgeous! However, since everything is numbered, produced by hand, and imported from France, those darling little snips will cost you a very pretty penny! At one of the shops in the city that carry a few bits and pieces of this brand, the rabbit scissors are $125! Expensive, but oh were they ever a delight to snip, snip, snip with! Perfection! My favourite pair are the heart ones at the same price.
So, I will dream about luxury notions and cross my fingers (yet again) for spring while I wait for my results from the alternative medicines doctor. Isn't that snowy photo superb yet sickening at the same time?!

You know providing the link to Maison Sajou was a very dangerous piece of work don't you? LOL!!! I of course had to visit! their products are just wonderful! I actually have a pair of their faux Tortoise shell handle scissors, they were a pretty penny indeed, but so worth it, they are divine!!!!
Good luck at the doctor's. Yes, the snow picture is heavenly...from afar.
