I am participating in a small quilt swap this spring organized by Christine over at Once Upon A Quilt. My swap partner for the first round was Bonnie from In Stitches With Bonnie. And boy is her little creation a lovely one! And hand quilted too!
Well, my little something special arrived yesterday. It was an awful day with snow, snow, and more snow. I went out twice and I had to clean the van off twice! Hurry up spring! No, really, for real this time! ... Anyway, I digress... When I got to the post office and saw the box from Bonnie, it was all I could do to get home fast enough and see what she had created.
It's awesome! What superb craftsmanship and there were even a few little extras in with it. Some tea (which I love), some Jo Morton fabric (which I love), and a pattern for a small table runner (which I love). Who cares about snow! Spread the quilty love! The quilt is made with 1930's fabrics, is scrappy, and I noticed that I have used the backing fabric in one of my own 1930's quilts! It was meant to be!
Thank you so much Bonnie! If you can't tell already - I love it!

What a sweet quilt! I've been wanting to try some hand quilting. A small quilt like this might be a good way to start, I'm thinking. Nice litte extra surprises you got too.
