One Flower Wednesday - January 18

Hooray!  I have something to post for One Flower Wednesday!  And not only that, but I actually made my one flower into something!  A double whammy!

This little darling of a quilt was made as a gift for a friend.  I know she adores my little blue hexagons, so I decided to make some for her and put them into her own little quilt.  I must say, it's so darn cute I might have to have a do-over and make one for myself too!

The colours remind of of Spring, which is far, far, far, FAR off on days like today!  It is still bitter cold at -24°C to -32°C (-11°F to -26°F) as we make our way through the week with a blast of Arctic air pushing it's way across Canada.  And that's just the actual air temperature, when you factor in what it feels like with wind it's dips past -40°C/-40°F!

Please check out my up-and-coming list of topics in the post below!  Stay warm everyone!
Heather

You are starting off well!!! Such a cute little hexie quilt, I'm sure your friend will just love it to bits!!!!
I simply cannot grasp the temperatures where you live Heather, minus anything is hard to imagine, -1 or -2 maybe on really cold winter days but only overnight, but -30's , -40's no way on this earth my dear, no way!!!!!! Glad I live in the sub-tropics LOL!!!!!

How cute - that many hexies I can handle. We are cold but not that cold - thank you.

Love the quilt & your determination! Your cold weather & how you exist in it is a complete mystery to me. It's summer here - & we still keep quilting - I have even finished handquilting one. Yes, we still do it in the heat! Once I saw a lady hand quilting a huge quilt in summer - she had an electric fan under the quilt between her legs - yes, you can imagine the comments & laughs - but it worked for her! Whatever it takes!
