It's always great to escape to the mountains. And it's even better when there is quilting involved! There is an annual quilt show put on by the Rocky Mountain Quilter's Guild every Fall. There is a small vendor's fair in which my LQS, Prairie Quilt Mercantile, has a booth. If I am counting correctly, I am pretty sure this is their fourth year having a booth at the show.
Almost every year I set up the booth for them and occasionally I also work the booth if the girls are busy at the shop or with other shows. Merchandising is one of my favourite things to do for them - so setting up the booth is right up my alley.
This year the store was in two quilt shows at the same time. The owners, Devon and Sharon, took all the new stock, kits, bundles, and patterns with them to the bigger show, and I brought all the store's sample quilts to sell, several bundles of the new Jo Morton fabrics, and some of the shop's giftware.
The location we have is a little awkward to set up since it is an old shuffleboard table along a wall full of awards and plaques, but considering the difficult location, I feel I did a pretty good job with what I had.
Several of the quilts have already sold, but if you see one in the photos you like, feel free to contact me (or the shop) to see if it is still available and what the price is. They range from $90 to $500 and some are small enough for a table topper right up to queen sized.
I'm back to the everyday grind now... Maybe I'll get swept away on another creative adventure soon - cross your fingers!
