Mail = Warm Fuzzies

If you are a regular reader, you will know how much I love to get mail (and send mail for that matter).  I got a lovely package just before the weekend by mail, and another one by special personal delivery.

My Mom sent me a box of goodies and this lovely framed quilt was the treasure in the box.  The fabrics were chosen by me for our mutual friend Susan for a bargello project Susan was working on.

However, when my Mom saw the colours of my newly re-done master bedroom, she decided to secretly make the same project, with the same fabrics, and gift it to me.  Isn't it darling!  The squares are 0.5" and the whole quilt is about 12" square!  Tiny!  Great work Mom - love it!

The next little package arrived with my Mom-In-Law who was visiting from Kelowna for my Sister-In-Law's baby shower.  A lovely lady I met through my blog, who is also in the general Kelowna area, and I decided to have our own private scrap fabric swap.

It turns out we are both working on English Paper Pieced hexagon quilts, but in different themes.  She sent me Civil War scraps and I sent her some of my general fabric scraps.  And look what arrived!  Thanks Dianne (and the delivery lady too)!  See you soon!

Happy Stitching!

I know a lady from Kelowna, what a small world. I love the colors in your 12 X 12 framed piece. Do you have a photo of the master bedroom? I'm planning on doing my family room in the brown/blue tones.
