The Tattoo

Somewhere back in the 90's when I was finishing high school I got a tattoo.  Not being too daring and realizing that it was a permanent life-long acquirement, I got something small and hardly noticeable on my ankle.  A tiny dragonfly.  At the time my Mom said that she wanted to get one too, but she didn't know what or where.  That was many years ago now and still no tattoo on my Mom's side of things.

Well, since she is visiting right now, I decided to take matters into my own hand.  Last year I got mine redone and made slightly larger at a superb place in Airdrie, so I made her an appointment, paid the deposit, and told her to figure out what and where!

This past Tuesday was the big event!  She was very brave and didn't freak out, pass out, or blurt out (obscenities that it).

The artist was very good and although Mom kept asking, with remnants of a small child in her tone, "Are you done yet?"  To which the man (Dan) replied, "Only five more minutes".

Forty-five minutes from start to finish, the tattoo was done.  It's healing well and looks great!  FINALLY!  Only 15ish years in the making!

Now, where's the next one going to be Mom?
