Organization + Hexagons = Just Can't Help Myself!

A must read for those One Flower Wednesday followers and English Paper Piecing lovers!

Last night as I tried to stay awake watching America's Got Talent (yes, I admit it, I've been sucked in), I posted about a great new selection of blogs I've found.  And now, thanks to Linda over at Flourishing Palms who commented on that post, I have an excellent link for English Paper Piecing and hexagon lovers.  An organizational travel pouch!  The sweetest little thing you've ever seen, and such an easy project to whip-stitch up!

What a great way to protect and store your WIPs and project pieces!  Aneela over at Comfort Stitching has a whole bunch of great patterns and crafty ideas, and this one just takes the hexagon cake!

To make your own little hexagon holder, visit Aneela's blog for instructions and more photos.  It would be very easy to add a piece of felt for some needles and wind your favourite thread onto a bobbin to stuff into one of the pockets.  Voila!  You're ready to stitch on the go!  As well, it's likely simple enough to make the pouch larger or smaller, or just the pockets, if you like working with many different sized hexagons and add a pocket on the back to store your completed flowers in.

Thanks for the hot tip Linda and the great pattern Aneela!

How cute! I failed to make my flower this week, but would love to make that for my hexies!! I was in Aneela's SAL last year for hexagon quilt and it was so much fun!
