One Flower Wednesday - July 28

Finally!  I had a moment this evening to pop out and take some quick photos of my latest hexigon addition.  The sun was just setting (ish) and a storm is coming, so the lighting was lovely.  However, this seems to be a week of Mondays, since it's only Wednesday and something seems to happen every day that just makes you want to have stayed in bed!  Well,  at least today wasn't that bad, BUT the camera battery died.  Yes, of all things, I actually get my hind-end out the door with the sole purpose to take pictures of my garden and the One Flower Wednesday addition of the week - and the battery dies.  Murphy, I tell ya!  And since the sky is now looming and dark, I don't think there will be time to get back out there for some more photo fun.

Anyway, I digress (do I even know how to do that?)...  Here is this week's hexigon.  I found a nice bed of parsley shaded by some delightful Campanula (Bell Flower).

And since I pushed the "you-didn't-charge-your-camera-in-a-month-and-the-battery-is-going-to-die-you-turkey" flashing light to the limit, here are a few more I managed to caputre before the camera completely turned off in disgust.  Enjoy!

A very pretty hexie, and so are the flowers. The colors are luscious.

Technology is great when it works. I can attest to having challenges myself. Last Friday my modem died, and when the new one was delivered, it wouldn't "talk" to the wireless router. Now, five days later, what I can tell you about configuring these gadgets would REALLY impress you!

Dear Heather, I know what you mean!
LOL
My pictures this week are also very dark (left it too late?!) I should charge the camera before it dies an undignified death!!!
Thank you so much for posting those gorgeous flowers... I can't imagine a better way to start my day. It's so hot here in Cyprus that all my real flowers have wilted and 'no more'! :)
Your hexi-bloom is lovely!
I have been gone for a while and so had never visited your wednesday garden before. How exciting to meet a fellow canuck amongst gardeners!
( my family is from Sask!)
greetings for faraway Cyprus!
