Cabin Conundrum

It's been a long time coming, but spring, I think, is finally here!  Hooray!  Now, here in Canada we have a holiday over the weekend that falls closest to May 24, Victoria Day, and it is well known for it's wishy-washy weather.  So, the snow could still fly, but at least it won't stay.  Thinking back to last spring, we were just figuring out what to do with our new property and finalize the plans for the cabin.

And look at things now!  We were able to make a trip there this past weekend and see how far the framers have come.  It was so exciting!  It was also pouring rain and cold.  Instead of me telling you everything there is to know about building a cabin, I'm just going to show you the pictures so you can see what we are building instead.

Looking through the front door, down the entryway to the fireplace.  Mr Confessions and Little Miss are checking things out ahead of me.

Standing infront of the fireplace looking left to the dining and kitchen areas.  The boxy wall thing on the right is one of the closet areas in the entryway.  The angled boards in the foreground are holding up the 20-foot exterior wall for the fireplace/chimney chase.

Mr. Confessions standing in the common area examining the fireplace set-up.  On the right is the large dining window looking to the back of the property (hence the trees).  To the left past Mr. Confessions is where the two bedrooms are located; one facing the front and one facing the back.

Infront of the chimney chase looking back out the entryway.  On the left are the closets along the entry hall (one is the small mechanical room the other storage and coats, etc.).  On the right, the bathroom.

And so the conundrum?  It's not done yet!  *grin*  Nothing a little patience and handiwork can't fix.  But still, I can hear this small voice in the back of my mind.  It has the same tone as Little Miss when we're in the van travelling to a fun destination, "Are we there yet?"

"Is it done yet?"
